With guitar around the Old Ljubljana downtown

If you have ever visited Slovenia and its capital, Ljubljana, you will probably recognize some of the well known spots in the video below - like "Zmajski most" (Dragon Bridge), "Tromostovje" (Triple bridge), "Robov vodnjak" (Robba Fountain) and others - accompanied by a beautiful music of one of the most popular Slovenian musical groups, "Čuki" (Owls).

I had a hard time to translate the title of the tune for some reason but word-for-word translation would be: With Guitar Around the Old Ljubljana Downtown.

The video not only shows Ljubljana's most popular tourist destination, Ljubljana Castle, but also how people were dressed there - (I'm guessing) about a hundred years ago or so - and one of the dances they were dancing.

    That music makes me feel like I should be sitting outside at a fancy restaurant having a fabulous meal while on vacation.

    Ferox, your question made me realize that you must not be the only one, wondering how to pronounce the name of the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana. For that reason I made another post at

    Daria, the music was so wonderful. I want to go there and wander the square, listen to the bands play and admire the architecture. It looks like a beautiful place to visit!

    I so wish I had the time and endless resources to travel! This looks like one of those fairy tale places! And I also think the music was very catchy and soothing all at the same time.... sigh!

    I've read a book which talks about Slovenia and I think it's nice to stay there for a vacation.. That would be really cool!
